- t-writescode 5y agoAre you attempting to compare experiences of people you don’t know because your particular symptoms and experiences don’t line up with yours, *and then judge them on it*? Is this something you do often?
- mrlonglong 5y agoNo. That has been my experience myself and of many others I know who had the same.
- t-writescode 5y agoWhat did you mean by this part, then? "I have to wonder at the quality of people over there" What quality are you speaking of?
- mrlonglong 5y agoOh, there's so much I could point out but I do hope that your government will one day improve standards sufficiently with regards to pollution, food, health, education and work life balances.
- MisterSandman 5y agoI took all 3 shots as soon as I could, but I still planned to take it on Friday so I wouldn't be affected by it. I'm a SWE who works from home, but I still had to take a day off work after my first shot because I could barely move my left arm. Not everyone has the same experience as you.
- jjeaff 5y agoLittle to no reaction to the shot can be an indication that you have a weak immune system.
- drekk 5y ago"Quality of the people" has some fun eugenics undertones to it for sure. I caught COVID from my boyfriend who worked in healthcare at the time, before vaccines were available. All three shots put me out for a day or two and I was lucky to have a very accommodating SWE job. Your reaction isn't universal and maybe we should make it easier for working folks to have guaranteed time off? Or invest seriously in our decaying infrastructure, do we think food deserts are easy places to get vaccinated? America is a thoroughly puritanical country and I wonder if that yoke will ever be removed
