Browser Shell: A Linux VM in the browser serving a website
- Cloudef 5y agoThis is quite interesting actually. I can see potential use-cases for this.
- cxr 5y agoSpiritually similar to something else from another former Mozillian: <https://github.com/rginda/axiom https://github.com/rginda/axiom> And then of course there's Fabrice Bellard's vfsync.org, which grew out of his JSLinux project.
- indigodaddy 5y agoThis is really cool and even more impressive given the blog post is from 2019. Is there any instructions on how to “host” this ourselves? Not seeing anything related to that in the post nor the GH page: https://github.com/humphd/browser-shell https://github.com/humphd/browser-shell
- beepbooptheory 5y agoLooks like a pretty straightforward node/web app project, with a parcel build step. Probably just a `yarn` and `yarn build` will get you most of the way there! See what it spits out and serve that.
- jumasheff 5y agoWow! You can create an interactive online course teaching Linux command line basics.
