There doesn't need to be a purpose, it can just be curiosity. I think Young, who has removed the letter again, is misinformed about the negative impact such discussion can have. I believe at least some reluctance against the vaccine is spite which is just nurtured by demands of content removal. But also due to official sources giving out info that has been wrong too.
