Strange regression. There is a decent noise cancellation feature on the AirPods Pro, that's a first class feature instead of being buried in accessibility. It's unclear to me how much of the processing for that happens on the AirPods instead of the phone. I'm not saying that APP are a substitute for improving hearing ability on the handset (old term alert!) itself.
- sudosysgen 5y agoProbably all of the processing is being made in the headphones itself, latency makes it difficult to do on the phone.
- j-kent 5y agoI've used the noise cancelling feature on my Airpod Pros on both iPhone and Android, so I'd assume that the processing is handled by the headphones themselves.
- brirec 5y agoThe noise cancellation works even without a device connected, so it most certainly is done on the headphones themselves.
