I don't think people < 60 have significantly more problems to adjust than younger peers, but one simple fact is that younger people usually demand less benefits. Sometimes people want to test how you react to offensive questions, although these seems to be borderline illegal depending on your country. Maybe they want to know if you take the opportunity to advertise maturity or something or get defensive about it.
