- type0 5y agosure, we deserve to stay ignorant to be blissfully happy
- spicyusername 5y agoNo, like he said... you don't inherently _deserve_ anything. Answers, non-answers, good luck, bad luck, wealth, happiness, etc, etc, etc. Like my kid's kindergarten teacher always says, you get what you get and you don't fuss a bit. Or from that song "Don't worry be happy": "In every life we have some trouble, but when you worry you make it double."
- rvieira 5y agoI would argue that since the dawn of humanity, all advancements were only possible because some people made a fuss. "Don't worry, be happy" seems to be a recipe for accepting things as they are. I much prefer "don't sweat the small things".
- manicdee 5y agoOr that old prayer: Lord grant me the courage to change the things I can change, the patience to accept the things I can not, and the wisdom to know the difference.
- disambiguation 5y agoGiven nihilism and relativism are both losing hands, this is more of a self-own than anything.
