- eatonphil 5y agoLooks nice! Might be worth clarifying in your bio or comment that you founded it too.

- legerdemain 5y agoOr also that this is a paid service that's priced at several hundred dollars (billed annually! if you're cool enough to be "selected"!).
- strikelaserclaw 5y agoyou should have assumed that when they started name dropping.
- eatonphil 5y agoI don't think there's anything wrong in general with charging people for something you provide. I support that part. I just think it's good to be clear about your relationship with the thing you're advertising.
- legerdemain 5y agoIt's the combination of two things: saying that some solution is "so fucking worth" as if you're evaluating it impartially, and then also failing to mention that it costs a surprising amount of money. The opposite would have been to say "I think I can solve this for you for $50 a month."

- betsydupuis 5y agoHey, the admins are being biased in my thread. They allowed a user to hijack the thread accusing me of being a liar. The thread has lost all of the original context and chocked the thread. They've also been extremely biased in the number of supportive comments they've deleted as well as allowing comments that are personal attacks and name calling in violation of HackerNews rules claiming "fairness." Please support me in asking them to remove the entire thread if they can't apply the rules equally. hn@ycombinator.com In addition to the bias of allowing Alex to go by his legal name to avoid being identified after providing extensive documentation of Alex being his preferred name.
- dang 5y agoIf you keep posting about this in unrelated threads, where it's off topic, we're going to have to ban your account. I don't want to do that, and I'm sorry that my attempts to help have failed to meet your concerns, but it isn't helping to spread this to other threads, so please stop now.
- _o68p 5y agoYou are not applying the rules fairly and are allowing defamatory commentary that is damaging to victims of sexual assault. I won't post any further, but please remove the thread before I am forced to take legal action.
- sillysaurusx 5y agoSpeaking of posting off topic comments in unrelated threads, I've been extremely curious about your ongoing arc-to-common-lisp work. Is there an appropriate place to ask about it? You so rarely talk about arc, but it's one of the most interesting aspects of your work. (If questions like these are unwelcome, I can stop.)
