The spiritual effect I was describing is definitely also: "to them being almost completely fried/detached from reality" What these researchers are doing in a lab on well adjusted humans with no psychedelic experience, and what happens when people take doses recreationally are two completely different things. Its like doing cocaine one time with a small dose and claiming it has no negative effects.
