Avoidance of war with Russia is pretty sensible though. Also the rhetoric about Russian misinformation was a bit much and did impart an extremely bad image of Russia in the more easily influenced populous. Some of that has reasons of course, but to me this mirrors Iraq invasion media manipulation to deflect domestic issues. Although there were cases of political murders withing EU territory which are vastly more relevant and must result in a reaction in my opinion.
