This reminds me of my own usage of Google Translate's speech synthesis API in a chat bot way back. It was as easy as sending a GET request to https://translate.google.com/translate_tts https://translate.google.com/translate_tts. People loved it. Of course, my use case was neither commercial nor large scale.
