How much of this is tax? Obviously tax needs to come from somewhere, and I'd be happier paying that tax during energy consumption than on my pay cheque as I'd rather be incentivized to consume less of a good which has a socially negative side effect than to produce less. I'm sure there are other ways of looking at it though, and again I have no much idea of how much of this is due to taxes.
