- xxpor 5y agoSelling something based on a z80 for $100+ in the 21st century is truly an impressive feat.
- doublepg23 5y agoI do wonder why there isn't an open source graphing calculator. Unless there is? Granted, the unchanging nature of a TI calc is part of the appeal.

- josephcsible 5y agoI'm not sure if they were ever open source friendly in the past, but they most definitely are not today. The hardware is tivoized and the source code's license is literally "all rights reserved".

- jimbob45 5y agoNow that you mention it, I might try to pawn my old calculator. It’s not doing me any good and some other kid can certainly use a discount used one.
- quxbar 5y agoBuy up all the used ones in town, then 'rent' them through the school for a big mark up.
- ryanchants 5y agoHow many Bitcoin can my TI-83+ mine?
- HideousKojima 5y agoAbout .8 hashes per second, seeing as it uses the same CPU as the original Game Boy: https://hackaday.com/2021/04/01/mining-bitcoin-on-the-nintendo-game-boy/ https://hackaday.com/2021/04/01/mining-bitcoin-on-the-ninten...
- djmips 5y agoIt doesn't though, the Gameboy is more like the Altair or Compucolor which had 8080 CPUs.
