There was still 1-1.5K deaths per day, something the previous administration was attacked for every single day.
- kadoban 5y agoWhat would you like the current administration to do about those?
- coolso 5y agoI suppose do the things it swore it would do: eg, reduce deaths, not have far more than the last administration during the same time period. Be “better prepared” and “smarter” about things. And so on.
- kadoban 5y agoYou must notice how those are the fuzziest, least actionable requests possible? If you don't like the man, fine, but what's the point of complaining that he doesn't have a magic wand?
- coolso 5y ago> You must notice how those are the fuzziest, least actionable requests possible? You should blame Biden for speaking in platitudes; I’m just repeating his failed promises. I’m not the President; he is. And he told us he had all the answers.
- kadoban 5y agoPlease feel free to quote any times Biden told us he had "all the answers" or any of those other statements. I strongly suspect that what he says and what you hear are not the same thing.

- coolso 5y ago> “220,000 Americans dead,” he said during the Oct. 22 debate. “You hear nothing else I say tonight, hear this. Anyone who … is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America.” This implies that under Biden there'd be fewer than 220K deaths. Anybody would want to vote for something like that right? Unfortunately, so far there've been over 400K under Biden. But he gets a pass. > He added: “And so, folks, I will take care of this. I will end this.” It still exists. And likely always will. This is just the tip of the iceberg, Biden was full of these sorts of quotes during the debates and interviews leading up to the election. He's never been called out on them. He also, strangely, was never called out on telling the vaxx'd that they don't need to wear masks over the summer, which he then had to quickly walk back, but not before it likely contributed to a much more rapid spread than would've otherwise existed - and also likely encouraged the unvaccinated to stop wearing masks also.
- thatguy0900 5y agoHe's complaining that people expected a magic wand from trump but don't of Biden, not that Biden doesn't have a magic wand.
- kadoban 5y agoNobody serious expected a magic wand from Trump. We wished he was capable of listening to experts and competently implementing testing, ppe procurement, giving good advice, etc.
- dave78 5y agoThis article is literally about Biden ignoring experts who advocated for ramped-up testing for a year.
- kmos17 5y agoThe proven best way to reduce deaths is to get people vaccinated. The vast majority of deaths are now from the unvaccinated. So the one single thing that makes a difference is the one these two administrations differ the most on, the previous administration and its party are the anti-vax party. The current one is pushing for people to get vaccinated including pushing for politically dangerous mandates.
- landemva 5y agoThe proven best way to reduce deaths is to remove yourself from the groups with co-morbidites. It appears the past 1.5 years the obese numbers have increased, so many people have chosen to exacerbate rather than reduce the harmful factors. Lifestyle of eating to death on the couch while watching fear-TV does not increase survivability. Your body, your choice.
- coolso 5y ago> two administrations differ the most on, the previous administration and its party are the anti-vax party. Trump literally Warp Speeded the vaccine into existence and it was always his goal to have everyone to take part in one of his proudest and most historic accomplishments.
