Study: Use of Ivermectin showed significantly reduced Covid-19 adverse events
- Khelavaster 5y agoMakes sense. This is the first study of its size to observe ivermectin prophylaxis in a sufficiently-sized set of healthy patients.

- nradov 5y agoThis site has a fairly complete index of studies on ivermectin and COVID-19. I don't have any confidence in their editorial content, but it's useful strictly as an index. I recommend reading the previous studies before commenting on this one; note that some other studies have been retracted, or are suspected to be fraudulent. https://c19ivermectin.com/ https://c19ivermectin.com/ The NIH is currently sponsoring a larger randomized controlled trial which should give us more conclusive data on whether or not ivermectin is actually effective. https://www.nih.gov/research-training/medical-research-initiatives/activ/covid-19-therapeutics-prioritized-testing-clinical-trials https://www.nih.gov/research-training/medical-research-initi...
- swader999 5y agoI wouldn't go as far as saying that this study is rigged to fail, it seemed like a genuine attempt. I'd imagine though that they would have had even better success with this same dose taken weekly rather than every two weeks. Also zinc is critical to apply at the same time.
