Philippine government makes anonymous SIM card ownership more difficult
- slategruen 5y agoOne of the few Asian countries where you can still purchase SIM cards without being logged, the right to privacy of Filipinos is under threat with a new bill mandating otherwise.
- raxxorrax 5y agoSadly this is also pretty much established anywhere else. Never attache your phone number to online accounts should be the more sensible security choice contrary to the push for 2FA. I would not be surprised if that came from foreign governments enacting pressure.
