- h2odragon 5y ago"press underplays" is a bit rich; I've seen 10 stories on this so far this morning without actually hunting for them. The co-ordination ion this one is even better than the "Facebook whistleblower" circus.
- xwolfi 5y agoIn Hong Kong, all we talked about today was this, with the stock market going down the drain. I find it over played at this point.
- throwaway81523 5y agoThe blog post was from a day or so before the worldwide press caught onto the variant. It specifically complains about the Guardian's early coverage, iirc.

- smt88 5y agoAt this early stage of news regarding this variant, I think it's best not to take the word of someone with no first-hand scientific knowledge. Going to flag this, since there are better sources for the same info.
- foolzcrow 5y agoThe press is "underplaying" it with a 24 hour propaganda loop? Antibody dependant enhancement?
