LG TVs, at least as of my C7, have a menu setting to both hide the ads and to not show the home bar on startup.
- corysama 5y agoC9 here. I never see any ads. Might be because I dug through every menu looking for things to opt-out of. I can’t use the voice control because I opted out of that. But, otherwise the WebOS experience is great. Only complaint is that I can’t figure out how to disable “resume playing paused movie when the controller feels someone walking across the room”.
- brokenmachine 5y agoI have a C7 as well. It didn't have ads at all until a recent update. I haven't updated and I have blocked it from getting to WAN.
