Bill Gates has given $319M to bankroll select media outlets
- raxxorrax 5y agoNot that I believe that journalism is a lucrative business for the more honest ones, but pretty sure there will be some form of compensation.
- samstave 5y agoTake a look at this who cast from Jimmy Dore - where he goes into it. I linked to where he starts to look at exactly how much was paid to whom: he goes through it here. https://youtu.be/GcCQVkpWMcE?t=1221 https://youtu.be/GcCQVkpWMcE?t=1221 The whole cast is worth it - I really like Dore, some people may not like him - but the core of the message here where he goes through not only to whom the money was paid - but also he covers some of the stories that the organizations were actually paid to run (or not run in some cases) Give it a shot.
- raxxorrax 5y agoThanks, I will listen to it.
- 1cvmask 5y agoJimmy Dore is a dying breed and under constant censorship regimes and shadow banning. He is someone who will go to bat on principle for those he is exact opposites with in politics. Everyone is trying to be a dittohead of the political sides. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3ADittohead https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk%3ADittohead -
- samstave 5y agoHeh, I remember dittoheads... Dore and Rogan and Saagar & Krystal and Dillon all represent the death of the MSM. Rogan's audience is 10 times bigger than any single show on CNN. https://i.imgur.com/dtT86sO.png https://i.imgur.com/dtT86sO.png <-- CNN's highest ratings is ~1 million viewers. Rogans has ~16 million reachable subscribed listeners per episode (doesnt mean they all listen to each cast when it comes out though)
