This is something like running a high end restaurant that is not easy to do or benefits from scale. You need a proprietor interested in it. Most people that "flip" homes successfully are personally involved in the projects. They have relationships with local subcontractors, know the area, and often professionally work in one of the trades or related fields such as law. The world is awash with cheap money now, so simply having deep pockets is not going to get you what you want. You can't just buy people that have the skill to manage the people involved and the projects at a large scale. The analogous restaurant situation is if you have a great chef that can run a location, why are they going to work for you? They will just open their own restaurant. Businesses where the only thing you can offer at scale is money don't work.
