- kingcharles 5y agoThink how much better these experiments could be conducted 80 years later.
- telaelit 5y agowhat makes you think they’re not still doing experiments like this?
- bryanrasmussen 5y agobecause with 80 years of experiments dog-headed robots would be available for military use.
- rsj_hn 5y agoreviving the old saw about whether it's better to fight a dog-headed robot or a robot-headed dog.
- xwdv 5y agoEven if we had the tech it wouldn’t be practical. Dogs are cheap and easy to get more, they are also commonly upgraded with titanium teeth and bullet proof vests, and soon may have AR goggles for more precise commands.
- Apocryphon 5y agoWhy use AR when you can upload their consciousnesses to a VR paradise while they control robotic battle suits?
- kadoban 5y agoBecause that's harder?
- bryanrasmussen 5y ago>Even if we had the tech it wouldn’t be practical. we're talking potential military / DARPA contracts here, you could still make a pretty penny on something impractical.
