It’s funny we can’t even discuss cutting spending.
- adventured 5y agoOr re-allocating existing spending based on more rational priorities. We're spending the equivalent of 40%+ of our economy on government (federal + state + local). How does our return on investment look the past 20 years during the great spending growth bonanza (which, amusingly, George W Bush & Co. ushered in)? Extraordinarily poor. The US spends like it's a Scandinavian nation, without the positive outcome. We have so little to show for our government spending it's quite grotesque.
