I believe the most divisive rhetoric was and still is present in academia, the plump separation in victims and oppressors. The right is reactionary to that, but the source of the conflict are clearly reality starved academic circles that firmly believe they know better without the necessary facilities to even utter coherent ideas.
And this was gladly taken up by media that loves to show us the most warped and absurd personalities because it guarantees attention and clicks.
- bush-bby 5y agoCouldn’t agree more. A large amount of “I know what’s right and therefore it is my job to tell you”. Don’t get confused however, this is often times just a thinly veiled attempt at gaining control over others…not so much the “moral help” many assert their actions and rhetoric to be.
