- angelzen 5y agoThe assumption behind your question is that the victors somehow owe something to the defeated, akin to US occupation of Germany and Japan post WW2. US as a superpower is a huge outlier. Most of history developed along the lines of the Trail of Tears, if not downright Tamerlane. Use drones to create an air kill zone and keep the enemy military from stepping in said territory. Expel potentially hostile civilians.
