Wishing there was a way to filter stories from the Atlantic. Doesn’t matter what substance there is in the article, their headlines are always inflammatory clickbait.
- nosianu 5y agoI'm fine with headlines as long as it at least tells me what the article is about, which this one does. What's more worth getting upset about are generic headlines that don't say anything about what the article is about. Most of those authors are innocent though. It often happens with blog posts, and they didn't write their headline for a 3rd party. Their own blog visitors know the context, but anyone linking to it from a news aggregation site should change the subject - the policy of having to use the articles headlines is not good in such cases.
- orwin 5y agoI kinda like the Atlantic, i find it way less biased than other US new outlets (not the less biased, but still), and although i don't really agree with its politics, it's interesting to understand their point of view. Also, their articles are not long because they rewrite 3 time the same story in one article (I'm looking a you BBC news), but because theire is a lot of substance. I remember an article i took 20 minutes to read well (following source links) about Obama foreign policy that was highly informative and interesting.
