It will lead to idiocy, witch hunts and prosecutions. Nothing new actually. As a liberal from outside the US I think I would vastly prefer to go on holiday in the reddest Hillbilly redneck village in what is advertised by detractors as a flyover state. Something about outspoken "metropolitan" US liberals is extremely repellent, cannot put my finger on it, even if in principle they support the same policies I do. Reddit somehow personifies this a lot. I though everything was dandy pretty much, but people complained about hate everywhere. I don't think that is improved, quite the contrary.
