I would not be surprised if there were federal laws against the use of Poker bots online.

      Any hope of jurisdiction bound federal law preventing something on the internet which is not politically or socially charged. Hell, there’s a widespread issue of ransomware currently - certain governments overlook cyber gangs in all but the most (financially) extreme circumstances. There’s not a chance any political force would bother policing internet poker.

        Internet poker is heavily regulated in the US.

          Sure, but that’s the government controlling a handful of well established entities, not a bunch people running bots which are basically invisible to the poker sites, even if the government cared enough to outlaw bots they couldn’t
