My country is enforcing medical masks (FFP123, N95, N99 KN95 and co) but also allows surgical masks, which don't work against aerosols at all. They only protect against droplets. Probably worse than the common cloth mask but those aren't accepted. I fear it will get more irrational from here... I also though that a study showed that sensible ventilation is at least as much effective.
