Ivermectin: * Must show pic of you and your horse *
- King-Aaron 5y ago> Do people who own horses typically walk around with a photo of themselves and their horse? lol, clearly hasn't met a horse owner
- ellihalabian 5y agoNot sure why Ivermectin is even involved in COVID-19. It is used for parasites!
- sp332 5y agoIt showed promise in a petri dish.
- bb88 5y agoThe studies done were small and of low quality. Further the Elgazzar study which showed the most positive outlook was retracted for fraud and plagiarism.
- sp332 5y agoYeah my claim was too strong to defend here so I removed it. I agree with your overall assessment.

- nradov 5y agoYes ivermectin has been shown to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 replication in vitro. We just don't have conclusive evidence yet on whether or not it's an effective clinical treatment. More research is needed. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0166354220302011 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S016635422...

- criticaltinker 5y agoIvermectin used in a single-drug treatment regime has not shown significant benefits in a number of RCTs. However there is promising evidence of significant benefits when Ivermectin is used as part of a multi-drug treatment regime [1]. Since the beginning of the pandemic many front-line doctors have been combining multi-drug treatment regimes with early (in the symptomatic phase) treatment to successfully reduce hospitalization and death [2][3][4][5][6]. - amanaplanacanal 5y agoJust take the vaccine already.
- nradov 5y agoIvermectin is a small molecule drug which binds to chloride channels. We don't have definitive evidence one way or another whether it's an effective COVID-19 treatment. It's certainly not a miracle cure, but some studies have shown statistically significant results. Research continues. https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4915/13/6/989 https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4915/13/6/989
