We don't know the long term effects of COVID either. How many decades are between chicken pox and shingles?
- nradov 5y agoChickenpox (varicella) is a herpesvirus which remains dormant in the patient after the acute infection phase. That's why it can reactivate later in life as shingles. It has almost nothing in common with coronaviruses.
