The current state of diagnostics is pretty shameful. For all that proponents of modern medical institutions like to use the phrase “evidence-based”, there is very little evidence used in much of modern diagnostics. Run a few scans and tests, nothing shows up, pick from a grab-bag of vague, underspecified, and unfalsifiable disorders. There is so much guesswork and speculation. It’s only in the last 3-4 years that we’ve actually started using genetic testing for CSF diagnostics, and this isn’t even widely used! https://nextgendiagnostics.ucsf.edu/ https://nextgendiagnostics.ucsf.edu/
