Haha who is getting rich from patents? I started my career at a small R&D company which generated aerospace intellectual property and patents, and in general the process was slow, expensive, and not too lucrative since the patents were very specific!
- new299 5y agoLots of Biotech companies have made billions based on their patent portfolios (and the monopoly this gives them on their technological approach).
- amelius 5y agoHow do you get rich from software, other than making an app which is appealing to the masses? E.g. can you get rich from developing scientific software? Probably not. Perhaps patents can be of use there.
