Russia’s space program just threw a NASA astronaut under the bus
- rowanG077 5y agoThis article gives me chills. The bad kind. As if we are still in the cold war. I obviously don't know what happened but this article calling a different article false without any proof of what actually happened is preposterous. And for the record I don't really believe the astronaut drilled a hole.
- karmakaze 5y agoPolygraphs are now generally considered junk. Someone should be working on ML lie detectors that would be more accurate for a substantial fraction of the population. Few people could defeat it, and there would still be false positives that have to be considered for. Maybe only use the results to clear people and not to convict which should only be based on other evidence.
- upbeat_general 5y agoI would actually prefer that someone didn’t create that since inevitably a more accurate lie detector will be used to convict people/in other contexts where a false positive may cause harm.
