Children born during pandemic have lower IQs, US study finds
- chovybizzass 5y agosmall sample size (<700), would like to see a larger study, i fear this is going to backfire when these kids enter adulthood.
- cjfd 5y ago"the mean IQ score on standardised tests for children aged between three months and three years of age hovered around 100, but for children born during the pandemic that number tumbled to 78" This effect is so ridiculously large, almost 2 standard deviations, that sounds like garbage at face value. Also when one does Ctrl-F in the linked paper one does not find 'IQ' nor the word 'intelligence' besides in the title of a reference....
- nodejs_rulez_1 5y agoMaybe it correlates with TikTok rather than the pandemic?
- colejohnson66 5y agoWhen have you seen a child (less than two years old) using TikTok?
- cafard 5y agoDuring this pandemic? The oldest child born during the US pandemic is well shy of two years old. Isn't this a bit like discussing millenials' APGAR scores?
- G79 5y agoThe moment I read 'a study finds', 'experts say'...I laugh and close the page.Pandemic has certainly show up MSM to be nothing more than time wasting click bait.
