- Forge36 5y agoNothing happened? Not sure what the feature is
- Asraelite 5y agoI wish the tweet just said what it was. People on mobile have no way of trying it. It opens Github Codespaces (https://github.com/features/codespaces https://github.com/features/codespaces), which is basically VS Code in the browser, and lets you edit the files of whatever repository you're in.
- truffdog 5y agoAlso it's Chrome only, it looks like.
- DerpyBaby123 5y agoIt opened for me in firefox on mac, but it broke the back button
- ncr100 5y agoAlso WFM. And the UI - it is non-GitHub'ey, very much a bolted-on product IMO. OLE!
- iruoy 5y agoFirefox worked fine for me. On linux too.
- Graffur 5y agoTo be honest I liked the experience of actually doing it. If the tweet had just said it or shown a picture I never would have done it.
- rspeele 5y agoI had to be logged in for it to work.
- Forge36 5y agoAha, that was my mistake!
- j30pardy 5y agoIt opens a free, vscode-like editor in the web where you can make quick changes to code
- adenadel 5y agoIt basically opens the repo in VS Code in the browser. I wasn't able to run a Julia file in the repo I opened though.
- DerpyBaby123 5y agoBut make sure to do it in a new tab, because it breaks the back button
- j30pardy 5y agoWithout the keyboard shortcut you can just change any `github.com` link to `github.dev` https://twitter.com/code/status/1425503238145650691 https://twitter.com/code/status/1425503238145650691
- up6w6 5y agoI guess this is the end for github1s.com
- shawnz 5y agoOK... now how can I delete this cloud environment it created for me without prompting?
