Remote work isn't remotely working for me
- sircastor 5y agoI can sympathize with some of the things written here, but not enough to want to go back. I do appreciate that there’s a big gap that needs to be filled for junior software developers. Looking at the “Lost small pleasures” section, I note that none of these things are related to office work, but to bring stuck at home.
- HeckFeck 5y agoThanks for reading to the end! I think successful remote working is feasible if one has an established home life. That would connect the 'lost small pleasures' to the overall topic. The effects are lessened if one lives in a connected local community, or shares a household with family or flatmates.
- icedchai 5y agoIt's not really working for me, either. I'm thinking of taking a mental health break (6 months to a year) to try and figure things out.
- HeckFeck 5y agoI've had to do the same. Best wishes for that. It's said that inspiration comes from boredom, so there's always the chance you'll land on something better.
- joelbondurant 5y agoI want everyone's head in a vice to protect me.
