“It’s just Sam Adams Summer Ale — that’s insane!” said Cooper Lund, 32, of Brooklyn, who encountered the pricey ($27.85) 23-ounce brew"
23 ounces. Almost 1.5 pints? Then at the bottom...
"And after passing on the high-priced Sam Adams Summer Ale, Lund said he settled for paying $11 for a 12-ounce beer."
0.75 pints. Which, in a 23-ounce portion, would have been $21.08.

- pessimizer 5y agoI don't understand your comment. It's saying that he passed up a large, extremely high priced beer, and settled for a small, very high priced beer.
- s1artibartfast 5y agoI think they are pointing out the weird menu pricing: 1x23 Oz beer for $27 2x12 Oz beers for $22 Normally drinks are cheaper/Oz for larger sizes.
