I'm really curious how this will affect politics, elections and the public opinion. Although maybe nothing will really happen, humans will just suffer the consequences without really changing anything. I'm pretty confident politics will just completely disengage from carbon problems, and let lobbyists run the show. Because if that happens, I don't know what the public will do: doing nothing and keep feeling guilty? I guess the same thing will happen with COVID and masks. The governments will act with restrictions, people will criticize and disagree.
