Covid has become a media-driven panic disconnected from facts
- raxxorrax 5y agoI tend to agree. You should take the disease seriously, but I don't think lockdowns are justified. This will ruin a lot of businesses and people. If you are afraid of getting infected, you have the option to stay home. There is problem why no politician will handle it like this. The media for once and opportunists against you will use it to accuse you of subjecting everyone to risk. By numbers, it is a serious disease, but the reply was out of proportion, the handling hysterical and the readiness to sacrifice liberties very frightening. It paints quite the unstable picture of our political landscapes.
- angryasian 5y ago>If you are afraid of getting infected, you have the option to stay home. This is elitism and ignorant. Many people need to work. Not every one has this choice.
- raxxorrax 5y agoTell that to self-employed people. They also must work but may not be allowed to do so. It is a compromise in any case.
