The issue here is that Apple makes phones (the iOS App Store is the subject of much if these articles) where they are the gatekeepers to the only method of software installation, making this compliance more problematic.
- simondotau 5y agoI’d rather Apple be the ultimate technical gatekeeper than to have a device which, for all I know, comes pre-rooted by my dystopian government. Or where apps are distributed openly and are thus potentially loaded with spyware.
