Can I call my company a “Venture Studio” if I also work with clients?
I run a small company which works exclusively with early stage startups for their product development needs - in addition to building our own products.
Since working in a niche like that is a departure from routine software outsourcing, some people I talked to described my company as a startup studio or venture studio. BUT... venture studios don't work for clients.
This is more of a semantic thing than anything else, but can I call my company a "Venture Studio"?
The company website is at https://venturenox.com
- altdataseller 5y agoYou can call your company whatever you want, but my advice is to just not get too preoccupied with it. Just add value for clients, get paid and that's all that matters

- v1l 5y agoI do something similar and I just have one question for you. How do you not tire of the constant context switching and "being in the weeds" of multiple client projects? What's your secret?
- stingerpk 5y agoA few things: - Only a handful of projects at one time. - Established practices and rituals. - Dedicated discovery workshop where most intricate details are figured out before we start coding anything. Your services look pretty neat too!
- vpilipchatin 5y agoI think you can call it whatever you want :) as long as clients are happy & you make money. Maybe what needs considering whether your target audience uses this name for what they are looking for or not. Your site is really awesome. I am doing something similar too.
- stingerpk 5y agoI think our customers don't care what we call ourselves. I just checked your site, indeed very similar to what I am doing. Good luck! Happy to see I'm not alone in my approach in building a next-gen startup studio.
- vpilipchatin 5y agoThank you! Good luck to you too ))
