Apple employees rally against office working plan
- corecoder 5y ago> Mr Cook's memo to staff said that he missed "the hum of activity" of in-person working, and that he knew "I'm not alone".
- lawn 5y agoOf course not, he's not the only manager.
- silicon2401 5y agoTypical management/leadership. Everybody must go back to the office because some people miss working in person, and nobody's allowed to be fully remote because not everyone likes it. Nobody cares about the people who prefer working remotely and who work worse in person.
- camillomiller 5y agoI wonder how many more people would be happy to be back in the office if they didn‘t have to sit in a maddening open space, and had a more private office setup.
- toddh 5y agoDon't forget the traffic nightmare.
- moojd 5y agoThis is it. I would actually prefer going into the office if it wasn't for the commute (and being away from my dog). I miss the separation between work/living spaces that the office gave me but I value the lack of commute and getting to take my dog along on my problem solving walks more.
- aiscapehumanity 5y agoI don't think it was heaven in the 90s either lol
- echelon 5y agoWhat's Apple going to do with that giant space ship if nobody goes back to the office?
- iso1631 5y agoConvert to homes
- jermaustin1 5y agoIf no one has to come back into work in SF, who is going to be able to afford an Apple iPartment?
- iso1631 5y agoFor $50 a month, I'm sure someone will love to live there.
