- dekhn 5y agothe first link predates the movie and isn't really the same thing. IIRC they don't edit babies in the movie. (you're arguing with a biologist who worked in this field, I'm making the point that the movie has not fundamentally come true, even if there are some details are the edges that resemble it).
- nanis 5y agoAs I said, "becoming" not "has come true". Everything is in place for Gattaca to come true. With more centralized control of health care expenditures, the incentives of bureaucrats will be lined up and full tracking of one's genetic makeup, life choices, and current conditions, the sky is the limit.
