I wonder, what's the cost of lithium in battery making? I've seen a video of how smartphone batteries are made, it's pretty advanced...

There's around 160-200g of lithium in 1 kWh of batteries, meanwhile lithium costs ~$13.50/kg, so in 1 kWh there's around $2.70 worth of lithium.

My question was rather "does it really make batteries cheaper?".

Maybe somewhat but what it mostly does is allow for more batteries to be made without driving up the cost of materials.
