Dogecoin Is “Blowing Up”
- nabla9 5y agoScott Galloway has already predicted that Musk's SNL performance will be part of future SEC investigation. Elon Musk has opportunity to increase visibility of Dogcoin in SNL and it can create so much fuzz that the price will skyrocket.
- jl2718 5y agoIt’s priced in.
- devoutsalsa 5y agoMy friend has been mining DOGE for years as a joke. He’s pretty happy with himself at the moment.
- netizen-936824 5y ago"Yea haha good joke right? I don't actually like men, you know, but we got married to commit to the joke."
- OldTimeCoffee 5y agoThe problem I've had with it is that not many exchanges trade in it. I've got some from 2014 I want to sell, but I don't even know where to sell it.
- devoutsalsa 5y agoIf you’re in the USA, Binance.US has it. Or you could send it to me and I’ll sell it for you. You can totally trust me with your sudden windfall... EDIT: Coinbase Pro doesn’t have it.
- shawabawa3 5y agoCoinbase doesn't have Doge
- devoutsalsa 5y agoAh, my bad. Thanks for the correction.
- hanklazard 5y agoFTX.US (if in the states)
- nunez 5y agoCreate a Coinbase account. Change it to ETH or BTC with Changelly; make Coinbase the recipient. Wait an hour or so. Convert ETH or BTC into USD. Enjoy your new shiny thing. Don't forget about taxes!
- nunez 5y agoThe Mac client still uses Comic Sans everywhere. It's insane that this joke coin is now LITERALLY the hottest thing. Also, can we talk about how Shiba Inu has been a meme for, like, ten years now?!
- donmcronald 5y agoLet’s go back to tulips IMO. At least they didn’t destroy the environment. Most crypto claims to be deflationary, but as a class of currency the inflation has been massive. Everyone has their own money printer. They’re all printing money and trading amongst themselves for higher and higher values. Then, everyone once in a while someone pays real money for some of the Monopoly money. That person is basically the donkey at the poker table. There’s not enough liquidity for all the donkeys to get their money back let alone for all the “innovators” to cash out. It’s just a variation of a Ponzi scheme.
- jl2718 5y agoIf you learn why the tulip bubble happened, you may understand what is happening today.
- bitxbitxbitcoin 5y agoArguably, Dogecoin isn’t destroying the environment because it doesn’t have its own miners.
- Tenoke 5y ago>Let’s go back to tulips IMO. What happened with tulips wasn't quite as simple as people think. >At least they didn’t destroy the environment. Not a fan of Doge, but they piggyback on LTC mining to a large extent so probably less of an effect. Plenty of other crypto doesn't do PoW at all. Really the environmental impact is becoming more and more just Bitcoin's problem not crypto in general. >Most crypto claims to be deflationary Doge isn't, it's famously quite inflationary. >There’s not enough liquidity for all the donkeys to get their money back let alone for all the “innovators” to cash out. Yes, it's important for people to understand liquidity in relation to market cap, but this isn't just an issue for crypto. You can't sell all of a stock without the price crashing either.
- shmapf 5y ago> You can't sell all of a stock without the price crashing either. Genuine question, are you sure about that? Assuming the stock is valued correctly, its value is equivalent to its future earnings, adjusted for time and uncertainty. Others who sell might bring the price down, but the real worth of the asset hasn't fundamentally changed, has it? Contrast that with crypto, where the real value isn't grounded in anything except for supply/demand and it is worth only what others will pay.
