Look into game theory and Nash equilibria. Mutations will happen constantly but they won't be likely to "take."
- arp242 6y agoI'm not sure if this applies equally well to large complex systems as it does to comparatively simple and limited systems. A polished flat globe with a uniform climate would still be a very complex system.
