Rich Indians trying to flee Covid ridden country
- KirillPanov 5y agoThis is not good.

- meepmorp 5y agoDon't know why you're downvoted, because you're right. When people with the means to flee a country start doing so very suddenly, and without much regard for the cost, it's a signal of things going to shit, fast.
- chestertn 5y agoI don’t understand how the travel ban to EU was reinstated but citizens of countries like India still can travel to the USA.
- JoeAltmaier 5y agoEvery time people use money to try to better their lives, somebody publishes a smear piece. Like we don't work to earn, so we can improve things for our families. "Middle-class American selfishly moves to neighborhood with better schools for her kids! News at 11"
- EricE 5y agoRemember kids - having fun is bad! Your bad and you should feel bad! Ugh - I had modern culture.
- meepmorp 5y agoHow is the article a smear piece? It doesn't talk about anything but the sudden increase in demand for flights out of the country and the big jump in prices. Your defensiveness is very odd.
- dkarras 5y agoRich is a slur these days.
- JoeAltmaier 5y ago"Rich Indians trying to flee" is pretty perjorative? How about "Those that can, leave the worst Covid hot spots".
- meepmorp 5y ago> "Rich Indians trying to flee" is pretty perjorative? I don't think it's pejorative at all. They're rich, they're citizens of India, and they're scrambling to get out of the country in a hurry and spending a lot of money to do so. If I were in their place and had the means, I'd be doing the exact same thing.
- JoeAltmaier 5y agoDon't get me wrong; I agree. But then why does anybody read the article? Because the title is salacious. That seems pretty clear.
- cecja 5y agoWe are going for 2 out of 3 for narcissistic comments, love it. Americans must have lost all compassion in the last 4 years it is insane.
- bigbillheck 5y agoI think if someone's rich enough to get a private jet then the odds are it was a little more than their own surplus labor that got them there.
- Scoundreller 5y agoAnd, reading between the lines, lots of fraudulent COVID-19 tests. After requiring pre-flight COVID-19 tests on all incoming arrivals, Canada recently banned direct flights from India and Pakistan. They didn’t ban people arriving from there. You can only come indirectly and your test must be done at your stopover location. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/flight-ban-india-1.5997880 https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/flight-ban-india-1.5997880
- benbojangles 5y agoChina wealthy did the same thing in January 2020. European wealthy chose their private islands in March 2020, Arab wealthy returned to their high walled palaces under radar, russian wealthy moved to their secluded ranches, do you need me to go on? The theme tends to be escape from high infection rates in hope that it won't come to them. It reminds me of fear the walking dead start of season 2 when they all board the super yacht to escape the oncoming infection.
