Interstellar travel is theoretically possible. If we have advanced far enough to theorize about it, then it's not outside the realm of reason that a hypothetical civilization millennia more advanced than us would be able to develop the technology. The universe is so unfathomably large and the building blocks for life so common there is no way we are the only life in the universe. It just defies logic. In fact I'd bet money we'll find life in our own solar system within our lifetimes.

It’s called space for a reason. It’s hard for the human mind to wrap itself around just how vast even our own solar system is, how many solid bodies there are, etc. If they maintained relative radio quiet and used only directional signals or lasers you could hide a sizable alien settlement in our solar system and we’d be unlikely to find it unless we got lucky. Space is just so damn big. SETI has checked a few grains of sand on the beach and found nothing and you now have people making tortured arguments about the Fermi paradox and great filters. We have barely looked, and given things like Project Orion we ought to pay more attention to our own cosmic back yard. The percentage of even our own solar system we have explored is miniscule.

So if any form of advanced life send a signal to us, from the nearest galaxy, it will take more than 25 thousands years to arrive. That is the reason why is pretty unlikely that anyone in our life time will ever see an UFO or contact an UFO or extra terrestrial entity.
