Weird way to start out the article, given that we don't actually know where the Spanish flu came from.
- ekianjo 6y agoWe have slightly more resources now to find out than in 1918...
- marcosdumay 6y agoWe still lack a time machine to gather short lived evidence from 2 years ago.
- ekianjo 6y agoThat would assume all evidence is completely gone by now.
- sjg007 6y agoWe know the spanish flu came from Kansas.
- WhompingWindows 6y agoThe first observations of mortality were observed in Kansas in March 1918, but then in April it was already in France, Germany, and the UK. The first recorded case was an army cook in Kansas, but researchers believe there were likely cases before this. So, it's hard to know for sure exactly where the index case arose.
