Covert Instruments
- eurasiantiger 6y agoSee LockPickingLawyer on YouTube for some... use cases. It’s his store, after all.
- evgen 6y agoNever knew quite how much I wanted something that I did not even know existed before bouncing through the product list...
- jedisct1 6y agoLittle click out of 1. 2 is binding…
- carols10cents 6y agoI thought this was going to be musical instruments you could conceal carry and surprise people with an unexpected Wonderwall.
- filoeleven 6y agoI was thinking along those lines as well. The telescoping alphorn exists for a reason!
- rijoja 6y agoI thought it was about financial instruments hm
- gumby 6y agoDuring the Cold War did the CIA develop a micro accordion that could be concealed in a pocket? A defensive weapon for a more civilised age.
- amelius 6y agoThis is why I use combination locks.
- infogulch 6y agoSorry to burst your bubble, but combination locks aren't always safe either. I hope you don't have something as vulnerable as either of these: https://youtu.be/n9Fqzq1yqbA https://youtu.be/n9Fqzq1yqbA https://youtu.be/Fah-LJJaPWg https://youtu.be/Fah-LJJaPWg https://youtu.be/GqVkSOKiUpY https://youtu.be/GqVkSOKiUpY
- newman8r 6y agoMake sure you check your local regulations before carrying this stuff around. A crooked cop could potentially arrest you even if you have no intent to do anything illegal with them. I wouldn't want to have these things in my pocket during a stop-and-frisk. I have a basic set, but it would never leave the house.
- jdkee 6y agoWhy would a cop have to be “crooked” to arrest you if you are breaking the law in your jurisdiction by possessing thieves tools?
- newman8r 6y agoI don't think mere possession is usually a crime, it's tied to the intent, which is more subjective. But if mere possession constitutes breaking the law then the 'crooked' label would be inaccurate. Inchoate offenses [1] are pretty interesting in general - I'd like to hear LockPickingLawyer's take on it, if he hasn't already posted something interesting about it (please link if so). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inchoate_offense https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inchoate_offense
- ksherlock 6y agoIn some states, specifically Ohio, Nevada, Mississippi, and Virginia, possession of lock picks is considered prima facie evidence that you intend to commit a crime. http://lockwiki.com/index.php/Legal_Issues http://lockwiki.com/index.php/Legal_Issues
