It’s official: Vaccinated people don’t transmit Covid-19
- DerpyBaby123 6y agoMisleading headline - the note at the top of the article states as much: >Vaccinated people can still be infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and suffer the symptoms of COVID-19...Taken together, this means vaccinated people are highly unlikely to transmit the virus when they are not suffering symptoms.
- alexfromapex 6y ago* does single study * ... “it’s official!”
- unanswered 6y agoMakes sense to me. It's science and if you disagree with science you're a science denier by definition.
- alexfromapex 6y agoI devised a study that found you're not a denier if you disagree with science. It's official! (This is my proof ad absurdum of why this is problematic)
- DerpyBaby123 6y agoSometimes, scientific studies disagree with other scientific studies. Does that mean scientific study authors are science deniers by definition? It does not.
- unanswered 6y agoObviously it depends on which studies get reported on CNN. Note sure why this is so difficult to grasp.
- foolzcrow 6y agoBlack people have to obey the US government or get locked out of society. None of you care though right? We just call them anti-vaxxers and not stand up for civil rights?
- perl4ever 6y agoI had a pessimistic thought...if we observe that vaccinated people have a much smaller proportion of asymptomatic infections, maybe that means that vaccinating people is creating significant selective pressure towards more symptomatic and severe illness. I mean, I understand that for now, the vaccine greatly reduces serious illness. But relatively speaking it sounds like it is selecting for it and I wonder if we will see the effects in a few months. To be clear, my speculation implies to me that it is if anything more urgent to get vaccinated, because the more people are vaccinated, the worse things will get for the unvaccinated.
